OUR HISTORY

AS CREATORS OF THE TITAN PLATFORM WE HAVE DEVELOPED GROUND-BREAKING INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGICAL SOLUTIONS ENABLING US TO BECOME A LEADER IN SIGNALING, ROUTING, SUBSCRIBER DATA MANAGEMENT, AND SECURITY SOFTWARE AND SERVICES.

A TIMELINE OF INNOVATION
  • TIMELINE_01

    1999 | NETNUMBER IS FOUNDED

In 1999, NetNumber embarked on its journey, laying the groundwork for future innovations.

Back then, North American mobile telecom providers first embraced a purpose-built platform with a unique combined service logic with a distributed database concept.

2000 | FIRST LINE OF CODE

The pivotal moment arrived in 2000 when the software that would evolve into Titan.ium emerged within NetNumber, with the inaugural line of code written on March 1.

This event marked the birth of the Global Internet Telephony Director platform (GITD), a distinctive fusion of service logic and a distributed database concept.

This technological leadership has become vital to its global success over the past decades.

  • 2003-2004 | ACCELERATING TOWARDS MATURITY

This phase signifies rapid evolution and expansion in the trajectory of our software product, encompassing both the platform and the range of products and services offered.

Much of the foundational software and logic developed during this period, including pioneering number portability solutions with SS7 and ENUM, continue to exist today.

    2005 | INTRODUCTION OF TITAN

To accurately mirror its robust capabilities, our leading-edge software was rebranded as Transactional IP Telephony Addressing & Numbering (Titan), symbolizing strength and superiority.

A comprehensive modernization effort accompanied this rebranding. Over the following years, Titan evolved into a more versatile and fully programmable platform, thanks to the introduction of dynamically loadable service logic, positioning it as a solution that 'could solve anything.'

With the advent of Titan 7, we took our first steps towards providing fully Customer-Defined Applications (CDA), marking a significant milestone in our journey towards customization and flexibility.

    2008 | CENTRALIZED ROUTING ENGINE

We emerged as the main provider of real-time routing services to top-tier service providers in the US, leveraging the Titan platform's distinct capabilities for distributed execution and database management.

Over time, we developed a variety of protocol stacks in-house, enhancing our offering into a comprehensive service. This evolution made our solution highly sought-after among service providers, enabling them to streamline their networks and offer unique, provider-specific features that set them apart in the market.

    2014 | CENTRALIZED SIGNALING CONTROL

In the next paradigm wave, Titan launched the sophisticated multi-protocol signaling firewall for SS7 and Diameter, offering mobile operators, especially mobile operator groups, a scalable and high-demand solution.

Our firewall, with its unique dissector concept that allows inspection and modification of every bit and byte in signaling and with home-grown protocol stacks in geographically dispersed networks, continued to conquer the market over the following years.

    2017 | MULTI-PROTOCOL SIGNALING FIREWALL EMERGES

Subsequently, Titan was used to introduce the Centralized Signaling and Routing Control (CSRC) and develop standard applications for IMS and all types of core network signaling combined solutions for fixed and mobile operators.

It helped operators reduce costs and simplify their networks by integrating signaling control functions of various natures and generations.

    2021 | THE TITAN.IUM PLATFORM

The Titan.ium platform was introduced as a cloud-native solution for 5G, including onboarding the heritage of existing signaling applications and services. This makes it an All-G solution that allows operators to embrace the latest deployment technologies for their legacy networks.
