The Element Management System (EMS) is a Fault and Performance Management solution for Titan.ium Products. It addresses customer fault and performance needs to assure full technical stack monitoring from infrastructure, through network and signaling stack layers up to application and business services.
EMS provides network element management and business service assurance across all the protocols and components supported by Titan.ium’s applications. It is a flexible, easy-to-deploy solution, based on telco grade Zabbix framework, with a visually appealing user interface, common inventory, and data model.

Enhanced platform User Experience
The intuitive role-based EMS user interface, provide comprehensive, graphical views of the Titan.ium platforms, applications and architecture. EMS operates from the topology of the node, with centralized performance, status, inventory and fault representation. EMS improves the effectiveness of system engineers, solution architects and operations.
Auto-discovery and Change Management
EMS includes auto-discovery of the broad Titan environment from hardware to applications, including links, routes, interfaces, disks, elements, databases and more. It facilitates collection of data and events, identification of equipment status and change management. EMS includes flexible discovery, rule creation for environment-specific data collections rules and communication preferences.
Problem Management
Fault and problem management for the infrastructure include time-stamped event correlation and reporting. EMS applies performance and utilization thresholds and communication failures as triggers for event reporting, highlighting the affected application or root cause event.
Monitoring and Performance Management
EMS continuously observes resource utilization data, performance metrics and traffic analysis, allowing you to pre-empt quality issues and pro-actively identify traffic growth, decline or anomaly spikes. EMS also includes options to compare counter and KPIs to deliver trends and predictions.
EMS monitors the message traffic across nodes and links. This monitoring essentially helps operators make informed decisions on capacity and required investment for the core infrastructure, while maintaining the best customer experience.
Out-of-the-box and Customizable
EMS includes off-the-shelf integration with the platform with pre-defined templates linked to applications, nodes and hosts. Operators use EMS to align to user-specific roles and responsibilities. The EMS template-based monitoring rules with in-flight upgrading and patching only require a restart on major system updated. In addition, EMS leverages the extensive 3-rd party open-source Zabbix template library, to easily customize platform requirements for complex, operator specific signaling networks.
Custom Dashboards
EMS provides the ability to create customized dashboards for network monitoring. This can be done autonomously by the customer or via Titan.ium’s specialized Professional Services teams.
